Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire Debuts In June

Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire 1

If you are one of the many fans that has been missing Walt Disney World’s “Dream Along with Mickey” show, good news is on the horizon. Disney has announced that the new show “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” will be premiering on the Cinderella Castle stage at Magic Kingdom in June! Here’s everything you need to know courtesy of Disney:

Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire 2“Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” brings to the stage fantastic costumes, lively dancing, special effects magic and memorable musical moments, including the original song “On This Day” by songwriters Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda (“Toy Story: The Musical,” “Tinker Bell: Secret of the Wings”).

In the show, Mickey and his troupe of Merry Makers have been preparing to host a joyous festival and have ventured far and wide to invite friends from other lands to join their celebration. From the Land of the Bewitching Bayous, Goofy has invited Tiana, Naveen and Louis to add a little spice of New Orleans jazz to the party. From the Land of the Enchanted Woods, Donald Duck brings some new friends he met at the Snuggly Duckling, and Daisy introduces us to her special guests, Rapunzel and Flynn. Finally, Mickey shares a surprise with Minnie, as he has traveled to the Land of the Mystic Mountains to invite Olaf, Anna and Elsa, who contributes a blast of her icy magic. It all culminates in a grand dance, as the Merry Makers invite all their new friends to join in the fun on this special day in Magic Kingdom Park.

Hanging Out With Mouse Rants

Mouse Rants

Are you a frequent podcast listener and Disney fan? If so, you’ve probably heard of the outrageous Mouse Rants podcast hosted by Jerry Skids and Simone DeMilo. This hilarious duo of fellow Disney fanatics record uncensored and unapologetic weekly shows about all things Disney. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, is off-limits with this pair as they rant against everything imaginable including fellow podcasters, Disney Facebook groups, each other, and of course, their experiences in the parks. What makes these two qualified to voice their opinions? Well, they are both frequent visitors to Walt Disney World, and at one time they each have worked for the company; Jerry as a Cast Member and Simone in New York City.

Last week, I had the nerve-wracking experience of sitting down with Jerry, Simone and fellow guest, Kate Smith, to record an episode of this shocking show. Despite recording the family friendly Behind The Magic Podcast weekly with Jerry, I knew this would be a completely different animal, and I was right. No holds barred and virtually unedited, we spent over two hours ranting and raving about the rudest and most entitled guests that visit Walt Disney World. Here’s the full description of our episode:

Mouse Rants 2Episode 65: Kittens Hangin’ Out With Rude Guests (feat. Kristi Fredericks & Kate Smith)

This week, Jerry & Simone get together with friends, fellow podcasters and Disney connoisseurs, Kate Smith and Kristi Fredericks to talk about awful, disgusting, self-centered, entitled guests in the parks. Tune in as our guests take it further than we did in Episode 5, talking about protein spills and other bodily functions, complete slobs, Wizard of Oz, veal, and bad parenting. Come check out the Degenerate side of these ladies you have never seen before…ONLY on Mouse Rants!

If you are a fan of shows like Tosh 2.0, then you’ll appreciate this podcast, if not, please consider carefully before listening. Remember Mouse Rants contains explicit adult content and language. It is intended for an 18 years of age and older audience, and could be offensive to some listeners. You can head over to Mouse Rants by clicking here to listen to our episode. Put your kids in bed and your headphones on; we hope you enjoy the show!

Mouse Rants Frozen ExtravaganzaIf you loved this episode and are looking for more, be sure to check out my favorite: Mouse Rants Frozen Extravaganza! This incredible two-hour musical features sensational talent from around the Disney universe, was written and edited by Jerry Skids, and directed by Simone DeMilo. This show is also intended for an adult audience, please do not be fooled with Frozen in the title, this is not for children. Again, put those ear buds in and enjoy, by clicking here!

Look for another new musical by the Mouse Rants gang coming to you later this year. I would love to give you more details about it, but first, it is a very complicated story, and second, I’m kind of scared of what Jerry would do to me if I shared too much information! Just kidding, sort of… Anyway, I will tell you that I am very excited to have a role in the upcoming show, but that’s all I can share for now. You can follow Jerry over on Twitter @JerryTheSkids for all of the latest information about Mouse Rants!

Aristocrepes In Disney Springs

Even more food choices are coming our way this year as several new dining options open in Disney Springs. As the Town Center is unveiled look for many exciting locations including Aristocrepes. Here’s everything you need to know about this new kiosk courtesy of Disney:

Disney Springs 1Grab a savory crepe at Aristocrepes—beef with horseradish cream, red onion, baby spinach and sharp Cheddar; vegetarian with pickled beets, goat cheese, candied pecans and baby greens; turkey with Brie, dried cranberries and Dijon spread; or smoked salmon with cream cheese, capers, onion and “everything bagel” topping.

Or go sweet with a s’mores crepe with marshmallow cream, chocolate sauce and graham cracker crumbs; banana with Nutella and salted caramel; Key lime cheesecake with white chocolate and chiffon crouton; or strawberries Romanoff with Chantilly cream and strawberries.

Pair your crepe with wine on tap, beer or hard alcohol soda (Not Your Father’s Hard Root Beer and Henry’s Hard Orange Soda). Or try one of our refreshing non-alcoholic beverages, including Frozen Joffrey’s Frappe Mocha and hot cocoa.

Opening on May 22, 2016, Aristocrepes is located in Town Center at Disney Springs. I plan to check this place out during my next trip, and I’ll be sure to let you know what I thought!

Amorette’s Patisserie In Disney Springs

If you love sweets as much as I do, I’ve got some fantastic news for you. On May 15, 2016, a brand new high-end bakery will open in Disney Springs – Amorette’s Patisserie – aka heaven on earth for those of us addicted to sugary goodness!

On the menu you’ll find chocolate-chocolate chunk cookies, macarons, sacher torte, opera cake, eclairs, and cheesecake just to name a few. There are also signature sweets like the “Strawberry Fields of OC” which is a decadent strawberry mousse with basil sugar and lemon curd or the “Reflection in Memphis” which is a tasty peanut blondie with bacon, banana, and chocolate.

Of course, you’ll need something to wash down all of the that sugary deliciousness and they’ve got you covered. Everything from champagne to an ice cold glass of milk are available. And if you’re looking to push yourself into a full sugar coma, go for Amorette’s Hot Chocolate Ganache which is basically like drinking a cup of hot fudge topped with Chantilly and shaved dark chocolate.
