This year the 2016 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will be held for 90 days from March 2 through May 30. The theme is “Fresh Epcot” and once again this springtime event will feature beautiful blooms, exciting entertainment, and loads of delicious drinks and dishes. A few of the highlights are:

Outdoor Kitchens

The Flower & Garden Festival will feature thirteen outdoor kitchens very much like what you see at the Food & Wine Festival in the fall. This year’s kitchens include Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market, Cider House, Fleur de Lys, Florida Fresh, Hanami, La Isla Fresca, Jardin de Fiestas, Lotus House, Pineapple Promenade, Primavera Kitchen, Taste of Marrakesh, THE SMOKEHOUSE: Barbecue and Brews, and Urban Farm Eats. Be sure to pick up a Garden Passport and get stamped at your stops along the way. Passports will be available at the Festival Event Center, all Outdoor Kitchens, plus select merchandise locations. With just a few days until the kick off of the festival, Disney has released the full menus. Better grab a snack, you’re about to get very hungry!

More Dates Added For Club Villain At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Good news for Disney villain fans out there! Due to popular demand, reservations have been extended into March 2016 for Club Villain at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This dining experience is hosted by the spooky Dr. Facilier from Club Villain 1Disney’s animated hit “The Princess and the Frog” and takes place in Sunset Showcase located at the end of Sunset Boulevard near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Dine and dance the night away with favorite villains such as Maleficent, Evil Queen, Cruella De Vil, and Queen of Hearts. Feast on New Orleans specialties like herb crusted tender beef strip loin, sticky wings with citrus gremolata, and spicy shrimp sautéed with Andouille sausage, tomato, okra and onions over creamy polenta. Of course, the desserts are not to be missed! Specialty cocktails, beer, wine as well as non-alcoholic beverages are served. While you dance, dine, drink, and mingle with the villains, be entertained with hilarious musical numbers and an energetic dance mix from the house DJ.

Club Villain takes place on select nights and tickets can be purchased for $129 per person including tax and gratuity. The specialty items added just for the “Year of the Monkey” are three types of steamed buns for only $8.98 per order.

Available on select dates (February 11 – 14, February 18 – 21, March 24 – 29, May 5 – 8, June 16 – 19, and September 1 – 5, 2016), guests can enjoy small bites and a delicious warm cup of tea in the elegant solarium at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Guests will have the choice of several different tea services:

Same Day Dining Reservations At Jungle Skipper Canteen In Magic Kingdom

Exciting news, hungry Jungle Cruise fans! For a limited time, same day dining reservations will be accepted at the new Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom. From February 12 through February 27, guests will be able to make lunch or dinner reservations the very same day. All you will need to do is visit JungleSkipperCanteen.com or call 407-993-1933. This is a great opportunity to check out the newest restaurant in Magic Kingdom without having to plan six months in advance!

If you aren’t familiar with the place, this brand new table service restaurant located in Adventureland features tropical décor, exotic cuisine, and is hosted by your favorite Jungle Cruise skippers.

There are three dining rooms in this 222 seat restaurant:

  • The crew’s colonial-era Mess Hall
  • The Jungle Room – former family parlor of Dr. Albert Falls himself
  • S.E.A. Room—a once-secret meeting place for the Society of Explorers and Adventurers

The menu is an adventurous one:

  • Skipper Canteen 16Dr. Falls’ Signature Grilled Steak, a strip loin marinated in sofrito and served with yuca planks, avocado and house-made chimichurri
  • Rice Noodle Bowl with an Asian pho broth with choice of chicken, duck breast or tofu served with jalapeños and mix of fresh herbs
  • Trader Sam’s Head-on Shrimp, with sustainable, local, farm-raised shrimp tossed in a chili-garlic sauce and served with Chinese broccoli and choice of five-grain or white rice
  • Coconut Bar with Pineapple-Basil Compote and Vanilla Cream – a vanilla chiffon cake with coconut and lime topped with white chocolate ganache
  • Kungaloosh! – African-inspired chocolate cake is served with caramelized bananas and cashew-caramel ice cream topped with coffee dust

Skipper Canteen 11And for the little skippers in your party:

  • Junior Skip’s Special Mac and Cheese is inspired by an Egyptian dish with ground beef, pasta, Béchamel Sauce and house-made cheese gratin, served with broccoli
  • Amazon Annie’s House-made Arepas with slow-cooked beef, black beans and queso fresco served with yuca planks
  • Sizzling Savanna Grilled Flank Steak with steamed broccoli and fingerling potatoes
  • Smiley’s Little Croc of Chicken Noodle Soup
  • Kids Volcano! – gooey chocolate cake with caramel lava and exploding chocolate rocks

Two non-alcoholic specialties will be served:

  • The Punch Line Punch – tropical fruit juice and mango puree (also available with a spiced rim for an extra zinger)
  • The Schweitzer Slush – frozen apple juice and passion fruit topped with bursting green apple boba balls
