4. And the answer is…yes, The Sword in the Stone can be drawn (about half way – for safety reasons)! From 1993 to 2006, several times a day there was an official Sword in the Stone ceremony complete with Merlin and the child that was able to pull the sword being given a medallion, a certificate and the title “Temporary Ruler of the Realm.” Now, from time to time with a little Disney magic, the sword can still be drawn.
