Blueberry Grass Band Now At Canada Pavilion In Epcot For A Limited Time

The next time you find yourself in Epcot this summer, be sure to stop by the Canada Pavilion to check out the fantastic new entertainment experience at The Mill Stage…the live music of the Blueberry Grass Band. Here are all of the details courtesy of Disney:

One of the greatest joys in exploring World Showcase at Epcot is discovering authentic entertainment experiences from around the world. The Mill Stage at the Canada Pavilion now comes alive with the music of Blueberry Grass Band, an accomplished group from Quebec who transform French and English Canadian hits into their own festive sound.

Blueberry Grass Band takes its name from the sweet nickname given to the people of their home region, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean. In that beautiful part of Quebec, the residents are colloquially known as “blueberries.” The playful spirit of this nickname shows in the band’s performance as well. Every concert is an undeniably joyous occasion, with their upbeat tunes and the clearly cheerful rapport between the performers. Every member of this six-person band has a different musical background, resulting in a group that uses a variety of instruments – string bass, guitar, violin, drums, banjo and of course, voice!

Blueberry Grass Band has brought their shows to audiences in twenty countries and members of the band have performed on “Britain’s Got Talent” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Now for a limited time through August 26, you can catch them live at Epcot on the Canada Mill Stage.

As a part of the “Incredible Summer,” guests can have a blast at this upbeat and lively concert five times daily, plus enjoy some out-of-this-world drinks and treats inspired by the show. And while an alien band from Xandar plays timeless classics from the 70s and 80s, you and your family can sing, dance and get into the intergalactic groove!

The Story

After saving their world from certain destruction, Peter Quill—also known as Star-Lord—brokered a deal with Nova Prime and the Xandarian government to bring an outreach program to his home planet. The purpose? To share Xandar’s rich heritage and culture with Earth’s people.

As luck would have it, Peter informed Xandar’s leaders that there’s already a place on Earth with a similar mission… a theme park called Epcot, where all of Earth’s cultures are celebrated. So, as part of their first outreach, Xandar sent some of their most talented musicians to perform the human audiences’ best-loved hits.

The Experience

Taking place 5 times daily, this is your chance to catch Star-Lord and Gamora in person as a 7-piece alien band brings many of your favorite hits from Awesome Mix Volumes 1 & 2 to life. You may even catch a glimpse of Little Groot!

Special Offerings

While you’re here, stop into the American Adventure at Epcot where you’ll find special offerings inspired by the new “Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Live!” At Liberty Inn, you’ll find an adorable Groot Sipper Cup that comes with your choice of fountain or frozen beverage and a Rocket Fuel Slushy with frozen Coca-Cola and bourbon.
