Friday Favorites – Best Disney World Events

For today’s Friday Favorites, I would like to share with you my picks for the best Disney World events. Throughout the year, Disney World offers several fun-filled events that your entire family will enjoy. So here are my favorites in chronological order.

  • Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival This event is held annually at Epcot from the beginning of March until mid May. There is so much to see and do at this event including beautiful flowers, topiaries, outdoor kitchens, demonstrations by HGTV designers and music concerts. For more information, check out this link.
  • Star Wars Weekends This is event is held annually at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from mid May until Mid June. This celebration of Star Wars offers special dining opportunities, limited edition merchandise, celebrity and character interactions and unique entertainment.   • Epcot International Food & Wine Festival This event is held annually at Epcot from mid September until mid November. This incredible festival includes nearly 30 food and beverage marketplaces scattered around World Showcase, signature dining experiences, food and beverage demonstrations and music concerts. For more information, check out this link.
  • Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party This event is held annually at the Magic Kingdom on select dates in September and October. This is a family friendly Halloween celebration that includes special parades, exciting dance parties, stunning fireworks and tons of trick-or-treating stations filled with candy for everyone!   • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party This event is held annually at the Magic Kingdom on select dates in November and December. This a festive party that includes a special holiday parade, entertaining shows, spectacular fireworks, hot chocolate and cookies, character dance parties and even snow on Main Street! For more information, check out this link.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Tickets are now on sale for another of my favorite Disney World events…Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

The dates this year are:

November 7, 10, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21 and 30
December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 19

The party is held at the Magic Kingdom from 7pm to 12am.

Ticket prices range from about $66 to $79 for an adult and from about $61 to $74 for children ages 3 to 9. Pricing depends on the night you attend and if you have any type of discount.Mickey and Minnie Christmas Parade

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a festive and heart warming experience for the entire family. There is a special holiday parade, entertaining shows, spectacular fireworks, hot chocolate and cookies, character dance parties and even snow on Main Street! My family and I had such a wonderful time when we attended the party and it definitely put us in the holiday spirit! Be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible if you plan to go, because they do sell out.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

The dates this year are:

September 1, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26 and 28
October 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 13, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30 and 31

The party is held at the Magic Kingdom from 7pm to 12am.

Ticket prices range from about $62 to $82 for an adult and from about $57 to $77 for children ages 3 to 9. Pricing depends on the night you attend and if you have any type of discount. Boo To You Parade

I have been to this party several times and I would highly recommend it. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a lively and light-hearted experience and it is truly a family friendly event. There are special parades, exciting dance parties, stunning fireworks and tons of trick-or-treating stations filled with candy for everyone! My kids and I have such a great time every time we go. Adults and children alike really get into the spirit of the event by dressing in costume, trick-or-treating and dancing the night away with all of the characters. Be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible if you plan to attend, because they do sell out.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – Opening Date Announced

 

Big news! The official opening date of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been announced as being May 28, 2014! However, there will be soft opening opportunities from now until then, so if you happen to be in the Magic Kingdom, it doesn’t hurt to go by and see if it is open. Fastpass+ is also available for this attraction now. For guests staying on property, they can be booked up to 60 days in advance and for guests staying off site, you can book up to 30 days in advance. You will want to book them as soon as possible, because this will be a hot ticket! I just booked my Fastpasses this morning for my summer trip! So excited!
