2018 Epcot International Festival Of The Holidays Dates Announced

Did you hear the exciting news? Disney has announced the date’s for this year’s Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. This festive and heart warming event will return to the park November 18 through December 30. The Candlelight Processional also returns this year and for the first time, the popular holiday tradition will open for Thanksgiving on November 22 and run through December 30.

According to DisneyThe Epcot International Festival of the Holidays invites guests to discover holiday cheer throughout the park and across all 11 World Showcase pavilions. Special entertainment, storytellers, seasonal favorites at Holiday Kitchens, and eye-catching holiday decor are all part of the fun. Evenings during this time are topped off with a special holiday presentation of “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.” The Candlelight Processional, a holiday must-do for many Epcot guests, is a retelling of the traditional Christmas story read by a celebrity narrator, accompanied by a massed choir and live orchestra.

This year Magic Kingdom is celebrating the Halloween season with the annual family friendly Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on select nights August 17 through October 31.

September 3, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23 and 25: $75 plus tax (ages 10+), $70 plus tax (ages 3-9)

September 28 and 30: $89 plus tax (ages 10+), $84 plus tax (ages 3-9)

The party is held at Magic Kingdom from 7pm to 12am.

Halloween PartyMickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a lively and light-hearted experience and it is truly a family friendly event. There are special parades, exciting dance parties, stunning fireworks, and tons of trick-or-treating stations filled with candy for everyone! Adults and children alike get into the spirit of the event by dressing in costume, trick-or-treating, and dancing the night away with all of the characters. General

  • Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests.
  • All Guests may dress as their favorite character, but may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
  • Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
  • Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards.

For Guests ages 13 and under:

  • Costumes and some masks may be worn, as long as the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible. 

For Guests ages 14 and older:

  • Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
  • Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground. (e.g.,full-length Princess dresses) 
  • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist. 
  • Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts, and hats are acceptable. 
  • Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords, and tutus. Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face. 
  • Masks of any kind may not be worn.

Get Ready To Tune In For The Many Disney Parks Holiday Specials This Year

If you can’t be in a Disney Park this holiday season, be sure to tune in for the many Disney Parks’ specials airing this November and December. They promise to be the most memorable yet! Here’s the scoop courtesy of Disney:


Disney Channel

Raven-Symoné and Issac Ryan Brown from the hit Disney Channel series “Raven’s Home” kick off the “Disney Parks Presents a Disney Channel Holiday Celebration,” in the DisneyNOW app beginning on Friday, November 24. Viewers who sign in to the app with a pay TV subscription will be the first to experience the show before it officially premieres on Disney Channel on Friday, December 1, 8:30-9:30pm ET. 

Watch as some of your favorite Disney Channel stars take over the Disney parks, including special performances by “Descendants 2” stars Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson, “Andi Mack” star Asher Angel, and stars of the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Zombies” Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly.

…and check this out! Booboo Stewart from “Descendants 2” will take viewers on an exclusive tour of Toy Story Land, opening next summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort.

“The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” premieres Thursday, November 30, 9–11pm ET on The ABC Television Network and on the ABC app. Follow Julianne Hough and Nick Lachey as they host the exciting two-hour event from the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. They join co-host Jesse Palmer to kick off the holiday season in a way only Disney can – showcasing incredible music performances by Ciara, Darius Rucker, Fifth Harmony, Fitz and the Tantrums, Hanson, In Real Life, Jason Derulo, Lea Michele and more.

Celebrate The Season At Epcot’s International Festival Of The Holidays

With Christmas just a little over five weeks away, the holiday season is in full swing at Walt Disney World. This weekend kicks off the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays with even more seasonal delights in store for us this year. Here’s everything you need to know courtesy of Disney!


Holidays Around the World is transforming into the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays from November 19 – December 30, surrounding guests once again in the wondrous sights, sounds and flavors of the season.

  • NEW! Holiday Kitchens – The number of holiday kitchens doubles in size this year to a total of 15, each bringing the flavors of the season to life. New this year, guests can indulge in cookies and desserts at the Cookie Nook located inside the Odyssey complex. Sweet treats include snowflake sugar cookies and a warm apple fritter with cinnamon ice cream and caramel sauce. Over at the Canada pavilion, dazzling delicacies like the Maple Buche de Noel (maple mousse rolled in gingerbread chiffon cake with cranberry sauce and pecan crumble) celebrate holiday traditions from the Great White North.
  • NEW! Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree – Chip and Dale are collecting ornaments for their Christmas tree. Guests can purchase a map and stickers from select merchandise locations and travel around World Showcase looking for the famous chipmunks with their ornaments. Guests can return their completed maps for a festive surprise, courtesy of Chip and Dale. Maps are available for $5.99 plus tax.
  • Candlelight ProcessionalNEW! Candlelight Processional Narrators – One of the most popular Epcot traditions returns with new celebrity narrators in 2017. Disney legend Kurt Russell is among the newcomers along with Pat Sajak, Matt Bomer and CCH Pounder who join the lineup of returning favorites like Neil Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg and Jaci Velasquez. The Candlelight Processional is a retelling of the Christmas story as told by a celebrity narrator accompanied by 50-piece orchestra and a mass choir.   • NEW! Holiday Entertainment – Enjoy the sights and sounds of the nations of World Showcase, as each country’s holiday heritage comes to life amid joyful music and time-honored traditions.
